Green Thumb Volunteer Program

Don't have time to tend your own plot but still want to be involved? Join our Green Thumb Volunteer Program! This opportunity allows neighbors to give back to the community garden by helping with watering once or twice a month. It only takes 30 minutes to an hour, and in return, you'll help the crops grow and thrive—and even get to pick a few fresh veggies or herbs for your meals.

Green Thumbs are valued members of our garden community and are invited to monthly social events, workdays, and seminars.

It’s a great way to relax and enjoy the beauty of the garden. You can enjoy some peaceful solitude while watering, or if you’d like some company, feel free to bring a friend along!

Donation Plots

Community gardeners gain more than just fresh vegetables when they donate a portion of their harvest to a local food pantry—they also deepen their connection to the community. That’s why we’ve dedicated two plots in our garden specifically for growing produce to support neighbors facing hardship. By volunteering to help with this effort, you’ll play a key role in reducing food insecurity right here in our area.

Donation plot volunteers are essential to the process, assisting with planting, watering, weeding, pruning, and harvesting the produce. They also help with weighing the harvest and delivering it to the food bank.

In 2024, we proudly donated over 350 pounds of fresh produce to The Action Center in Lakewood, Colorado, providing crucial support to community members in need.
